Site Management

L&C Contracts are fully aware of the sensitivities of those occupying the adjacent buildings to any noise:

  • All reasonable steps will be taken to minimise any disruption to adjacent occupiers by noisy activities. Methods will be developed to minimise noise and hence disturbance to the occupants
  • Where it is necessary to carry out noisy activities, these will be identified well in advance and the timing agreed prior to commencement
Safety is high on the agenda at L&C Contracts

We take our responsibilities as Principal Contractor very seriously. Immediately upon appointment, Risk Assessments and the Health & Safety Plan will be developed and agreed. Subcontractors detailed method statements will also be produced and safe methods of work established for the works overall.

Site inductions will be held for all new site personnel so as to establish the site rules and to enforce safety procedures; and all site personnel will be required to read the emergency procedures when signing in for the first time, and sign to the effect that they have read the procedures

Neighbourly relations

In our experience maintaining good neighbourly relations is greatly helped by good communication, and by keeping third parties regularly informed of site activities likely to impact on the occupiers. This can be done by preparing a regular newsletter distributed to the occupants of the building. If required L&C Contracts could establish a tenant liaison process that will deal with communication with the existing tenant / occupiers

Regular liaison with the Clients representative will be an important part of the management process. Being attentive to reasonable demands and demonstrating a considerate and professional approach has proved to be of benefit.

Mock-ups and samples
Our Process

The provision of mock-ups and samples will assist in achieving the required quality of finishes. A programme will be developed indicating when each mock-up or sample will be required taking account of procurement periods and the anticipated commencement dates on site.
